Holiday Greens Workshop and Youth Programs in December

It's not too late to join the upcoming events this month at the Wagbo Farm!

Holiday Greens Workshop

Saturday, December 8, 1pm.

Get ready to deck the halls with Alana Haley of Roots & Wings Herbs!

Creating a wreath, swag, kissing ball or arrangement with natural materials is an enjoyable way to kick off the holiday season. Even if you've never attempted this before, you'll be amazed at what you create; it’s easier than you think!

Come for a Holiday “make and take” that you’ll get weeks of enjoyment out of. And you’ll be able to say... “I made it!”

If you plan to make a wreath, bring a grapevine wreath form for the base (other shapes okay too). All other materials are provided.

Sliding scale $5 to $15 includes greens and embellishments beyond the ordinary plus instruction. Limited space available. Family friendly. Light refreshments provided.

Pre-registration appreciated. Please call 231-536-0333.

Northwoods Family Nature Club

Sunday, December 9, 1 - 3pm

Monthly gathering of families with children of any age. We have the simple mission of relatively unstructured PLAYTIME in the NATURAL WORLD. Each time we will choose a loosely defined "adventure" and then let the kids take the lead! It's also a great time for parents to meet and talk to other adults whilst the kiddos get down and dirty. FREE.

Jordan Valley Outdoor Youth Programs Presents:
Winter Wonderland - A Nature Stroll for Kids

Sunday, December 16, 1 - 3pm

For this month’s adventure we will be exploring forest and field while we hike along a maintained pathway.

We will visit a stream that feeds the Jordan River, play nature games, have a scavenger hunt and look for tracks and sign of resident native wildlife.

Hot cocoa will be served when we return to the Farmhouse.

Hike is approx. a half mile. FREE.

For more information on these or any of our programs, contact the Wagbo Farm at (231)536-0333 or, or check out the events page at

Hope to see you there!
